AOTrauma Credits

About

AOTrauma Credits are our universal method of measuring actions and contributions from AOTrauma Members. An active Member will earn Credits for a wide variety of contributions, shown in our table.
The aim is to provide a transparent and equally fair method to acknowledge the commitment of our contributors.

Status Award Levels

Status Award Levels are achieved by the Credits required to step up to each level. The levels—bronze, silver, and gold—provide a globally understood method of representing the time and commitment our dedicated Members and Affiliates have contributed.

Application

The application of Credits to Member profiles is automatic for the majority of actions.
Where automation is not possible, for example the contribution to a book or journal, Credits will be added manually by AOTrauma staff, though can be requested via a surgeon Officer in your country. The Credits and Award Levels are a guide to the activity of a particular Member or Affiliate. They are visible to the individual, AOTrauma Officers and staff, though not to fellow members.

Levels provide our Country Officers with a useful method to direct formal opportunities within AOTrauma to key contributors. However, a high Member Award Level or number of Credits does not guarantee a Member a formal positionthey must still fulfill other criteria related to the position.
